These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Canasta101.com and purchases made through the site. Canasta101 is owned and operated by Whyspire LLC. By using the site, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Canasta information and house rules

Canasta101 provides educational information about Canasta, with an emphasis on Modern American Canasta and the way our family plays. Canasta rules can vary by club, tournament, family, and table. The site is not an official governing body, and its information is not a substitute for agreeing on house rules before play. We work to keep the material accurate and useful, but we do not guarantee that every rule or strategy will match every group’s version of the game.

Permitted use of the website

You may use the site’s public content for personal, noncommercial learning and play. Unless we give written permission, you may not copy, republish, sell, redistribute, scrape, or create a competing product from the site’s text, graphics, downloads, branding, or other protected material. You may link to public pages on the site.

Digital products

When you purchase a digital product, you receive a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license for personal, noncommercial use. You may download the file and print copies for your own household or regular game group. You may not resell, upload, email, publicly share, distribute, or make the digital file available to others, and you may not remove copyright or ownership notices.

Digital products are delivered electronically through the checkout or delivery service. You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and using a compatible device and PDF reader.

Prices, payment, and delivery

Prices and available offers may change at any time before purchase. Checkout and digital delivery may be provided through Kit, and payments may be processed by Stripe. Your purchase is also subject to the applicable provider’s terms. Any discount applies only as described at the time of purchase and has no cash value.

Refund and download support

Because digital files are delivered immediately and cannot be returned in the same way as physical goods, digital-product sales are generally final. If you cannot access your purchase or the file is materially defective, contact admin@canasta101.com within 14 days of purchase. We will make a reasonable effort to restore access, replace the file, or otherwise make the order right. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law.

Some pages contain affiliate links. Canasta101 may earn a commission when you purchase through one of those links, at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Product availability, pricing, seller terms, and warranties are controlled by the retailer or manufacturer, not Canasta101.

The site may link to or embed services operated by third parties, including an online game, email forms, retailers, and payment or delivery providers. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, policies, products, or actions. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s terms.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, use automated systems in a way that burdens the site, or use the site for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive activity.

Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Whyspire LLC disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation. We may correct, revise, add, or remove content without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Whyspire LLC and Canasta101 will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site, third-party services, or digital products. For a claim related to a paid digital product, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for that product. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Intellectual property

Canasta101’s original text, graphics, downloads, page designs, trademarks, and branding are owned by Whyspire LLC or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site, products, or law changes. The effective date at the top will be updated when revised terms are posted. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
