Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 24, 2026

Canasta101 is owned and operated by Whyspire LLC. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Canasta101.com, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

You may provide information directly when you:

  • request the free Canasta score sheet or join our email list;
  • contact us through a form or by email; or
  • purchase a digital product.

Depending on the activity, this may include your name, email address, message, purchase details, and other information you choose to send. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number; payments are processed by the checkout and payment providers described below.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, Canasta101 and its service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location, dates and times of visits, and interactions with links or forms. The site and its providers may use cookies or similar technologies for site operation, analytics, security, and remembering preferences.

How we use information

We use information to operate and improve the site, deliver requested downloads, send emails you asked to receive, process purchases, provide customer support, measure site and campaign performance, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, and protect the rights and security of the site and its users.

Email and free downloads

Our email forms and subscriber list are managed through Kit. When you request the free score sheet or subscribe, the information you submit is sent to Kit so we can deliver the resource and send related Canasta101 emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time. We may still send a necessary transactional message about a purchase or requested download.

Purchases and payments

Digital-product checkout and delivery may be provided through Kit, and payments may be processed by Stripe. Those companies receive the information needed to complete the transaction, prevent fraud, issue receipts, and deliver the product. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Analytics, security, forms, and embedded content

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site. Google reCAPTCHA may be used to reduce spam on forms. Our hosting, caching, and security providers may process technical logs to keep the site available and secure. The free online Canasta game is embedded from Novel Games; using the game may allow that provider to collect information under its own privacy policy.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain affiliate links, including links to Amazon. If you click an affiliate link, the retailer may receive information about the referral and may use cookies or similar technologies to attribute a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of the word. We share information only as needed with service providers that help us run the site and deliver its services, when you direct us to do so, to comply with law or a valid legal request, in connection with a business transfer, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Cookies and your choices

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work. Where a consent tool is presented, you can use it to make or change your choices. You can also use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contact us to ask about your information.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including providing services, maintaining records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the provider involved.

Children’s privacy

Canasta101 is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and remove it when appropriate.

External sites and international processing

Links and embedded services may take you to third-party sites with their own policies. Information handled by our service providers may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, subject to the providers’ legal safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site, services, or law changes. The effective date at the top will be updated when a revised policy is posted.
